This post is going to be informative. That is what it’s all about.
You see, it will be about something I will try from now on to make. It is going to be called “Sonic Lizzzten” (as a pun between my nick name and the word “listen”). It will be a radio show, hosted by me, where I talk about many things here in life, but most importantly, music. I will recommend music to listen to, talk about music history, and I will even play songs (just like an ordinary radio show), but the songs will be bootlegs, as I otherwise might get into some legal trouble (and I do not believe I will if I use bootlegs, but we’ll see).
It will start some time soon, but when it is up, I don’t quite now. It also will probably not be regularly to a specific day of the week, as this is almost impossible to keep. To begin with, it will be hard to know when the next show will arrive, but I am planning to at least try to keep it as regular as one show per week in December (when I hopefully move out).
I hope someone likes this idea, and if someone has any suggestion as to how I should broadcast them, please do leave replies on that. Otherwise, it’ll probably be SoundCloud or YouTube or something. Let me know if you even have an opinion on which of these services you’d rather prefer I used.
That’s it for now! I will start WordPressing more soon!
Tite: Eddie Vedder – More Than You Know
There’s THAT album. That ONE album you JUST CAN’T wait for the prices to lower before you buy it. That one album you can’t let Spotify ruin the spirit of. That one album you realize really NEEDS to be in a physical version and which you really NEED to get NOW, because you can’t risk waiting any longer. It is already too much like an album of your dreams to stay away from it. It deserves the extra cash you use to get it NOW and not in a few months time.
I came across THAT album of this year for me today, and had to buy it. It is Eddie Vedder‘s “Ukulele Songs”. How can you not like – no – LOVE the idea of an album with one of the most beautiful voices known to the music industry making an album where he only has the instrument of a ukulele to accompany him!? But that’s not even all there is to love to it! Several songs on the album (“More Than You Know“, “”Once In A While“, “Tonight You Belong To Me” and “Dream A Little Dream”) are covers of old time 20’s and 30’s songs! It is an album that cannot be missed to me, but that I still have a major problem seeing why is so popular to others.
(“Rubber Soul” is an album you should have in your collection…which is really what goes for every The Beatles album, though, so just get the box “The Beatles In Stereo” and you should thank me for the rest of your life)
How long has it been now? It’s been 12 days already, actually. Well, that’s quite…something. I did in fact write a post…in a way, on my cell phone, but it hasn’t got the e-mail address for WordPress and it hasn’t got WiFi, so I haven’t thought too much about it anyways. It’s more of an essay in a way than a blog post, but hey, everything counts, right?
The main problem with using songs by The Beatles as titles on my posts, is that WordPress only suggest me to apply Beatles tags and Beatles pictures into the post! AND I WANT NORMAL PICTURES OF EVERYDAY THINGS! But hey, I COULD just go to Wikipedia and find it myself, though, couldn’t I?
Have you ever tried to search for “Wikipedia” on Wikipedia? I hadn’t until now, but that’s an article as well! Guess it’s the first they made. Probably is their “About” page as well as the article page. I linked Wikipedia to that article above now, so go there and have a look! I’ll wait……………DID YOU LOOK? Well, it’s not important anyway now, is it?
HAHA! Now I found the PERFECT picture for this post! Hope you like it! NO IDEA what it is, but it was just so very…random. I just HAD to use it! THAT’S EVERYDAY LIFE FOR YOU RIGHT THERE, PEOPLE! We need more of that kind of things. Less murder, more…love and tasting things.
Well, now I’m just blabbering, but at least I’ve started posting again , haven’t I? At least I posted now, let’s see how much more I’ll post in short time. Perhaps a lot, perhaps…nothing. I think I use a very verbal language in my posts.
What is your most treasured music album in your collection? Give me the name of the artist, the album, which format you have it in, and why you treasure THAT album so much.
As an introduction to this, I have to tell you what I’m posting now. You see, I’ve figured I want to use my WordPress for more than just regular blogging, so if you look up! Further up than this! Look up to where it says “Home – About – Creatures – Most Special Tweets Of The Week – Stories – Ubuntu”. See “Stories” there? I recently made this. It’s empty yet, but by the time you’ll see this, you can hold your mouse button over the word “Stories”, and there will be a drop-down menu. I’m going to try to post some stories I’ve written from time to time here on WordPress, and I’ll also add them there, so you can find them easier! Isn’t that smart?
But anyways, here’s the first story, and I’ll try to both post them here, as regular blog posts and also in the drop-down menu (as pages). This story is called Cinnamon Scented Candle. Hope you enjoy it, and please do leave a comment, letting me know what you think of it.
Cinnamon Scented Candle
He knew he hadn’t been very attentive of her lately. His work had occupied all too much of his time, and he was feeling guilty. To try to make up for it, he had now made a nice bath for the two of them, with lots of rose petals all the way from the entrance to the bathroom. He had even laid a lot of them gently on top of the bath, so it would look better.
It smelled like cinnamon in there, because of the scented candle he had bought a long time ago, to use for a special occasion. This was a special occasion. It was therefore lid for the very first time.
The bathroom was of the warm kind, with a lot of heating from the floor. There was no electric light in there, only the scented candle and about 10 others as well to light up the room.
He was to stand there in his black shirt, which she had always said she liked, with a full rose in his hand for her when she got back home. He had also written her a love letter, letting her know how sorry he was, and how it would never happen again, because nothing, and he really did mean NOTHING, was more important than her.
The reason why he’d spent so much time with work lately, was so he could afford the necklace she’d been wanting since they’ve met, but none of them could afford. Though this was a good reason in his eyes, he still felt like they were drifting separate ways because of it, and he should rather save for a long time than to try to earn up for it all in a couple of weeks in the future.
Now everything was ready. He was just waiting for her. She said she’d be there 10 minutes after he was prepared now. She didn’t know anything about this. It was to be a surprise. He liked the thought of surprising people in a positive way. If he didn’t succeed with what he had planned, then things could also be stopped before the person it was concerning even knew about it. That’s why he liked surprising people. If they knew what he was planning to do, and then did it, they wouldn’t be as happy with it. At least that’s what he was thinking.
The wait seemed to last forever. He couldn’t remember the last time he was so anxious. The time couldn’t really move any slower either. He thought to himself how weird it was that he was so anxious, because, after all, this had been his girlfriend for a long time now. He then caught himself thinking of her still as his girlfriend, though she was know his fiancé. When she said yes, his heart had exploded of joy and he couldn’t stop smiling for a week. He had even been smiling in his sleep.
He figured he was probably anxious since he was worried whether she’d like the surprise or not. After all, not all surprises one might find great is as good for others.
He heard her steps outside their apartment now. His heart was pumping rapidly faster. He had to take a deep breath, and then start to smile. There was the sound of her keys, now entering the lock. She unlocked the door and opened it up. He smiled as he saw her.
Since the apartment was pretty dark, it looked as if she was sent from heaven with all the light from the corridor behind her, shining through as she entered. She looked like an angel. He had always thought of her as his guardian angel. The one that was sent to earth to be with him, for reasons he never quite could figure out. She was just so perfect to him, with her long, brown, straight hair, that reached her about halfway down her back, her soft, blue eyes, her cute little nose, her long, slender body, her legs that could drive any man crazy, her cheeks that were just so perfectly shaped, and just the fact of that every little detail about both her body and personality was just like if they were customized to fit him.
At this very time she entered the apartment, she looked like she was tired with a lot of things on her mind.
He smiled at her and welcomed her home. He gave her the rose and a kiss, and told her to come along with him. She followed him, but she didn’t seem very enthusiastic. Of course, his welcome had brightened her mood a bit, but she still had a worried expression over her face. He had taken her by the hand and they were walking slowly towards the bathroom. He smiled and told her to go inside. She did as she was told, and started gasping, before bursting into a much bigger smile. She turned to him and gave him a big hug and then a big kiss, before suddenly seeming like she wasn’t happy about the surprise anymore.
“Is there anything wrong?” he asked her. “There’s something I gotta tell you” she replied. He was asking if they should not get into the tub first, since it was warm now, but she told him she had to say it before they went that far.
“I think you should sit down” she told him, and so he did. “What’s wrong, honey?” he said, with a face filled with worrying. “I know you’re trying to make up for all the time we’ve been apart now…and I think that’s great! Don’t get me wrong! But…there’s something I’ve just gotta tell you”. He was so scared now, that he didn’t know what to feel. His heart was pumping faster than a train now. It wasn’t the same kind of pumping it’d been doing when waiting for her. Now it was a worried pumping, not an exciting, awaiting pump.
“What do you have to tell me then?” he managed to say after a few seconds had gone by. He could see she was looking for the right words, while standing by their kitchen counter. She was looking down on the floor. “I…I…I…” she stuttered. “I kind of…slept with someone else while you were working all the time”.
He could feel his heart exploding, turning into thousands of thousands of pieces. He was so heart broken that he didn’t know what to say, what to do, what to feel…or, perhaps, he did know what to feel. He felt betrayed and hopeless, because all he’d wanted, had been given to him, but now she was telling him that she’d been with someone else, while he was working to get her something she’d been longing for. He had tried to be a good husband, but she had just let him down because he didn’t have the time and energy to be at the top at all time with her for a month or so now. He felt something he hadn’t felt in a long time. Misery.
He just wanted to die right there and then. Wanted to burst into tears, trying to get her to tell him it was all a lie. A joke. A horrible, HORRIBLE, joke. But this was no joke. No lie. This was the truth. This was what had happened. This was the end of their story.
I just learned something interesting about this song today. Though I’ve listened to it A LOT of times, I haven’t really thought about how easy this almost-8-minutes-long-song lyrics is. Do you want to know how easy of a lyrics its got? There’s only 14 different words in it! It’s still one of my favorite songs EVER, though, but that’s quite fascinating, isn’t it? That (one of) the greatest band EVER has a long, cool, kinda heavy song that’s only got FOURTEEN different words in it.
If you haven’t heard it, you should definitely check it out. The preferred way is of course to buy the The Beatles In Stereo box…or just the Abbey Road album in newly remastered stereo version, but if you want to hear it NOW, then go here then: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnF91s2bBpg
Title: Richard & Linda Thompson – We Sing Hallelujah
I love and am SO MUCH in love with my girlfriend right now, that I thought I should write it down somewhere! It’s good to write when you’re overly positive as well, you know! She’s just SO perfect for me, that it’s almost a bit creepy, because it’s like someone thought “Hm, we should make someone custom made for that guy” and did, and that became my super duper perfect girlfriend! Everything is just SUCH a great match!
This weekend she’s coming to sleep over at my place, which I’m looking VERY much forwards to! It’ll be nice to be sleeping with her in my arms, being able to be with her at all time and see her at all time and feel that all is well in this world. It suits me to know she’s coming to spend the night here as well. It’ll be a mighty fine weekend!
Well, what might’ve been the trigger for me being so happily in love tonight, just might have been that I liked a facebook-status of my girlfriend’s, saying that “if you like this status, I’ll write something I like about you on your wall”. She sent me 7 (SEVEN!!) wall posts and still hadn’t said all she really wanted to say! We’ve been together for 21 months and 17 days, and she can STILL make 7 wall posts full about what she likes about me! I’m on a cloud of joy now, and I’m just so IN LOVE!
I love you, my darling! ❤
That’s one awesome song, isn’t it? I had to take a long time before I really got into it though, but now I REALLY like it. I think I’d go as far as to say I love it, actually. The Rolling Stones has been a band I’ve tried NOT to like so much, but since August, I’ve been letting me listen to it almost as much as I’d like to. This has made them my 6th most listened to bands ever, according to Last.fm. That’s quite cool.
Well, been some time since my last post now, without me remember what that was and when it was, but I’m guessing it was Friday. Since Friday, I’ve had a PERFECT weekend with my beautiful girlfriend (which I’m CRAZY in love with now, and I don’t really know what to do when I’m not talking with her now, because I just miss her SO much and it’s like I’ve fallen in love with her for the first time again). She’s really super, and we’re just having SO much fun together. We can just lie around if we want to, or we can run around or just…whatever, you know? That’s one of the things that’s just SO GREAT about my girlfriend and our relationship! We don’t HAVE to do something when we’re together and we don’t HAVE to talk either, because we’re a couple that can do NOTHING together and still have a TERRIFIC time!
I got some news today, though, which’ll certainly make me happy for the upcoming weekend. My girlfriend (which I barely mentioned earlier…or maybe not “barely”…okay, I wrote a lot about her then!) is coming to me on Saturday and she’ll spend the night with me and be here for a long time on Sunday as well. I love having her over for sleep-overs. I sleep so much better with her by my side. It calms me down and it’s really cozy. Also, we can cuddle at ANY time! I like that. Another great thing is that if one of us have a nightmare, you can just wake the other one up and get some comfort. I love my girlfriend!!!!!!!!
Let’s have a picture:
What are your weekend plans, and what did you do this weekend?
So, I’m not posting a lot lately. It’s not you, it’s me, to say it like that. It’s mostly because every time I get on my computer now and I go online, I let it open my previously closed tabs, because I’m meaning to buy something at the Autumn sale of Play.com. I’m not precisely sure what to purchase there quite yet, but I’m a hell of a lot closer than I was when I started watching.
Anyways, I don’t have a hundred things to tell you now anyways. At least not that I can think of. Dylan rocks, just so y’all know, and I like making and playing music. Also, I love my girlfriend. There’s pretty much what you need to know.
I don’t really know what to post about, and those kind of posts are so bad, that I’ll stop now.
BUT! I could include this great picture I took at the beginning of this day:
And yes, that’s the view from my bedroom.
Do you have Nirvana’s “Nevermind” in your collection? And yes, I mean LEGALLY! Like, not-downloaded for free
Title: Eels – Trouble With Dreams
I’ve got an idea for something to do. I want my WordPress site to be as cool and fine looking as possible, and it would be great for it to be like a “hang out” place, so I’m thinking what if I post the coolest/nicest looking/cutest/funniest/best pictures/wallpapers I can find on each of my post, so that people get to see something that’s actually interesting as well? Let me know what you think of that idea. I could also have the best pics on a site of its own. The real big problem with the idea is copyright and stuff like that.
I’m listening a bit to Eels now. It’s great music that reminds me of a lot, and was my favorite band back in ’04 or something like that. The favorite song was “Fresh Feeling”. I have to make the album “Blinking Lights And Other Revelations” a “perfect” album, because:
1. It’s got SUCH a great feel to it for me
2. My girlfriend bought it for me for Christmas gift
3. I like double disc albums lately, and it’s fun and challenging to “get into” them, if you understand what I mean
4. It’s got several songs containing the words “Blinking Lights” in its title, which is kinda cool to do on one album
5. The title of the songs “Bride Of Theme From Blinking Lights” and “Theme For A Pretty Girl That Makes You Believe God Exists”
And it’s just…yeah, it should become one of my favorite albums.
I’m thinking of yet another page idea, but we’ll see. That one I CAN start making!
The question is as said earlier, what do you think of the first idea?
